Camacho Triple Maduro gets ‘high marks’ from UbiCigar.com

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Via: UbiCigar

The Triple Maduro holds a special place in my heart as my first ‘favorite cigar’ aside from Romeo y Julieta which was my favorite when I didn’t smoke cigars often. It was the first box of cigars I bought, and I actually remember the day very well: it was a Camacho event, and I didn’t know enough about cigars to even look for a rep, but I bought my first big humidor and my first box of Camacho Triple Maduro torpedo’s. I made this purchase after smoking a single robusto, and today I decided I’d break out a Triple Maduro from that box, with three years of age on it.  >> Click here to read the full review

Ramones by Camacho reviewed on ACigarSmoker.com

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Via: A Cigar Smoker

I feel like a broken record with yet another disclaimer on the cigar being smoked for review. But once again these come gifted to me and this time the thanks goes out to Dylan over at Camacho. According to an email I got this week, Camacho Cigars has begun shipping it’s latest brand, Ramones. Ramones is an old brand originally introduced by Simon Camacho in the 1960’s. The new version is now shipping and features a Honduran interior blend with a choice of a Honduran Criollo (medium-to-full in body) or an Ecuadorian-grown, Connecticut seed wrapper (medium). The new Ramones is offered in (6) different formats, in both boxes of 25 and 50 (El Guajiro), with very accessible retail prices of $1.95 to $3.95 per cigar.

Winston Churchill’s Unlit Camacho Cigar Sells for $3,111 at Christie’s Auction

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Via: AOL News

Would anyone be expected to pay $3,111 for a Havana cigar in a box simply labeled “Hotel de Paris”? Well, someone did just that today, because it wasn’t just any old cigar — it was one that belonged to Winston Churchill and that he never got around to smoking.

Initial estimates for the Cuban cigar by Camacho ranged from $1,500 to $2,200, according to the Christie’s London auction company.

But someone was willing to go quite a bit higher to get their hands on part of a wide-ranging collection of Churchill memorabilia that was being sold off by New York publishing executive Steve Forbes. >> Click here to read the full article

LegendArio Connecticut Reviewed by ACigarSmoker.com

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Via: ACigarSmoker

Appearance and Construction: The LegendArio I smoked for review is adorned with a beautiful golden wrapper that had 2 significant veins present on it’s brittle wrapper. Care is needed when cutting these cigars and in storing them as well so as not to damage them. There was some oils present though not an over abundance on this stick that had some tooth to it. There is a dual band system in place with one on the foot and the standard label as well.
