Description: I’ve had this cigar sitting in my humidor for a month or two, a gift from Doc Stogiefresh. The cigar is beautiful, and a fantastic work of art. I love the dark maduro contrasting the silver bands. The wrapper is a bit rough looking, but has some crystals on the wrapper. This is one of those cigars that I sat inspecting for a few minutes before lighting it.
The Triple Maduro doesn’t pull any punches, starting off with some woody and espresso flavors. It gives off a ton of white smoke while your puffing on it, but not much sitting in the ashtray. I did have some burn issues that required some touch up, but it evened up after awhile. (more…)

I got a fiver of these smokes from cbid and am really enjoying them. This cigar is a very unique cigar in that it is currently the only triple maduro cigar on the market. This really is a powerhouse cigar, not for the weak or faint of heart. It packs a huge punch and if you are not careful it could knock you into a tailspin.

Description:
The Camacho SLR Maduro is an imposing looking cigar with Honduran Filler from the Eiroa’s family farm in Jamastran Valley, ranging in color from dark chocolate to black on its veiny Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The cigar is firm and heavy for its size, but has an easy draw. The prelight draw test yielded some hints of chocolate and leather that peaked my interest. (more…)

Three is the magic number!
Maduro leaves normally are reserved for cigar wrappers, and a few manufacturers have used them for binders (the leaf under the wrapper) as well. Camacho might be the first to offer a cigar made from entirely maduro leaf. (more…)

Welcome back for another cigar review here at Stogie Review. As some of you may have noticed (or at least I hope you noticed) I was missing in action for a review last week. I had a bit of an allergy problem as the weather started to change for the cooler here in PA. After a little over a week of taking medication and taking a break from cigars I feel great and am ready to get back into my weekly routine. (more…)

Camacho is known for its full flavored smokes. So when the Honduran-based company announced that it was introducing the industry’s first triple maduro cigar, smokers everywhere braced for the power-packed smoke which is just starting to hit select cigar stores.
Made in Camacho’s factory in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras (just outside of Danli) the blend combines five different types of maduro tobacco – but Camacho is keeping tight-lipped about the details of the leaves that make up the blend, except to say that the wrapper and filler are grown on Camacho’s farms in Jamastran. “Within the next few weeks we will begin to deliver my newest creation, the Camacho Triple Maduro - a blend that has taken me nine months to develop. I can proudly say that next to the Diploma, this is my proudest creation. I am absolutely enamored with the look, feel and taste of this cigar. Especially knowing what it took to make a cigar with an all maduro tobacco blend. (more…)

Camacho Cigars will soon begin shipping their Camacho Corojo and El Legend-Ario Authentic Corojo cigars with new 2004 Corojo Harvest tobacco. According to Christian L. Eiroa, President of Camacho Cigars, “My father, Julio, has called this crop his best Corojo harvest so far.”
The new crop will allow Camacho Cigars to offer a Corojo Maduro wrapper that is neither Broadleaf nor Mexican. To the best of their knowledge, Camacho Cigars is the only company growing Authentic Corojo tobacco.
