“Back in 2000, Christian Eiroa, President and CEO of Camacho Cigars, rolled out the Camacho Corojo, starting a trend towards stronger cigars that’s still making waves ten years later. It has undeniably changed the way we smoke cigars. Major cigar companies launched new and stronger cigars; new boutique cigar companies emerged wielding ridiculously strong offerings… yes, like all trends, it has grown a little out of control. But in the end, the cigar business as a whole has benefited from this movement.

We think Christian is at it again.”

On June 29, 2010, Camacho Cigars and a team of Bayer executives welcomed select members of international media to visit their tobacco fields at Rancho Jamastran and cigar factory in Danli, Honduras. Following the daylong tour of Camacho’s operations, a press conference was held at Las Lomas where the partnership was officially signed. (more…)
