Camacho 10th Anniversary Robusto Preview @ Tiny Tim’s Cigar World

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

My friends at Camacho and Social Cigar sent me one of the new Camacho 10th Anniversary robusto’s to try and comment on. I decided to have it last night.

Initially the flavor was somewhat leathery. It quickly changed to an incredibly spicey cigar. The spice is central to this cigar. You can feel it on the back of your throat and on your tongue. After an inch the flavor changed from leather and spice to toasted caramel and spice. (more…)

Camacho SLR Torpedo Review @ CigarJack.net

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

Description: I got this cigar as part of a word of mouth promotion they are trying over at Social Cigar, Camacho’s new online cigar community. The cigar was very nice looking, and actually very dark for a natural wrapper. If hadn’t seen the nearly black SLR Maduro you could have told me this was the Maduro and I would have believed you. The wrapper had a little tooth on it and one bigger vein in it, but overall very well constructed. I checked the prelight draw and found it acceptable picking up some hints of leather and wood. Cigar Links Edition 2: Camacho Diploma @ CigarJack.net

Monday, January 21st, 2008

This week’s edition of Cigar Links focuses on the Camacho Corojo Diploma. I reviewed the Camacho Diploma Natural back in August 2007. The tobacco in the Diploma is from the Fifth Priming. These are the top most leaves taken from the plant last so they get more sun and nutrients. Resulting in a stronger and more flavorful cigar. (more…)

Camacho Corojo Maduro Review @ Tiny Tim’s Cigar World

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

This is a rare midweek review but I felt it must be posted after I had this cigar. It was, in a word, FANTASTIC!

The cigar: Camacho corojo maduro Robusto (4.5 by 50)

The cigar starts out with a fantastic corojo flavor. The sweetness of maduro comes through after the first half inch. The combination of corojo and maduro produces a great peppery, spicey smoke! The cigar is incredibly smooth, too! It had a great draw; effortless. (more…)

Camacho Triple Maduro Review @ CigarJack.net

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Line: Triple Maduro
Vitola: Torpedo 6 x 54
Origin: Honduras
Wrapper: Honduras (Maduro)
Binder: Honduras (Maduro)
Filler: Honduras (Maduro)
Body: Full
Strength: Full
Box Price: $198 (Box of 21)

Description: I’ve had this cigar sitting in my humidor for a month or two, a gift from Doc Stogiefresh. The cigar is beautiful, and a fantastic work of art. I love the dark maduro contrasting the silver bands. The wrapper is a bit rough looking, but has some crystals on the wrapper. This is one of those cigars that I sat inspecting for a few minutes before lighting it.

Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedo CigarThe Triple Maduro doesn’t pull any punches, starting off with some woody and espresso flavors. It gives off a ton of white smoke while your puffing on it, but not much sitting in the ashtray. I did have some burn issues that required some touch up, but it evened up after awhile. (more…)
