Room 101 Cigars is the brain child (or love child) of Matt Booth and Camacho Cigars. “It’s an extension of my luxury lifestyle brand and a collaborative effort between myself and Camacho.” –Matt Booth. With such names behind it you can’t but hope it will be great. Matt Booth said in an interview at the IPCPR Trade Show that “It’s a collective of things that I dig, and I love smoking cigars.”… “It’s just another facet of that; it’s just something from my life; it’s my personal meditation cigar smoking.”
I heard good things about these smokes from those who went to the convention and I was dying to try them. Unfortunately they haven’t really begun to show up at shops around the country but I was lucky enough to have a few sent by request. So I thank the good people of Camacho cigars for these un-banded samples. They included a kick ass t-shirt and bandanna along with the smokes. >>Click here to read the full review
Something new and definitely exciting for you this week. The Camacho Connecticut represents the first Connecticut wrapped cigar that Camacho has produced. Available in six sizes including the ever popular 11/18 size. (more…)
When the prize for the last contest was sent to me a few extras were in the box. One of those extras was a box of the new blend of the Camacho Select. While the old Select was a good smoke, it wasn’t one of my go to cigars. Released with a new band and tweaked blend I was looking forward to giving it another try.
No complaints on construction. Occasionally one might have a small tear in the wrapper at the foot. The Camacho Select has just a slight give to it and an easy draw. Thinking back on the box I just smoked through, they are burned very well. The only times I had an issue with the burn I was sitting outside and it was a bit windy. (more…)
This weeks guest reviews comes by way of Nathan of An American Front Porch. This time around Nathan shares with us his views on the Camacho Limited Harvest. (more…)
Like the Havana, the 1962 is a medium bodied blend with a criollo wrapper, so I snagged a fiver on C-bid a couple months ago hoping that I would like it as much as the Havana. The fresh Havana blend, I should say.
The big word on Camacho has lately been their 10th Anniversary Limitada (a triple corojo which should be hitting the shelves any day now) and the Triple Maduro, which has gotten mixed reviews. The 1962 was released sometime last year, but has existed in relative obscurity, perhaps because it is a Cigars International exclusive.
