Auspicious occasions call for great cigars, and my 10th wedding anniversary was no exception. I pulled out this gem that’s been resting in the humi for the last year or more. The Camacho 10th Anniversary Corojo was never about power, like Coyolar or SLR, but blending finesse. And, after extra time, the blend has gotten even smoother. Today I’m taking Camacho’s entrant into the world of milder bodied smokes for a spin. The Camacho Connecticut is a great looking stick that according to Camacho is “A spicy yet milder mannered Connecticut wrapped cigar with superb balance and signature Camacho body.” Camacho released this cigar to answer consumer requests for a milder, tamer stick compared to the rest of the Camacho lineup. Lets see if this stick lives up to Camacho’s description.
This puro, authentic Honduran Corojo was blended by Christian Eiroa in celebration of the Eiroa family’s 10 year anniversary for growing tobacco from corojo seed. This cigar is classified as medium-full strength with full flavor. The reviewer tasted hints of coffee, with a peppery overtone throughout this smoke. (more…)
